How do self-cleaning ovens clean themselves? | |
My mom and I were trying to figure this out. My step-dad said it was because of intense heat...Is that true, or is it something else? If it's something else, what is it? Please reply, we want to know very badly.

1They have a small rhesus monkey living in a little compartment in the back, and when the oven is not in use he comes out and scrapes all the gunk out of the oven for you... isn't that neat? If you notice a putrid odor from inside the oven that means your monkey has died, and you should order a new one.

Basically it is intense heat, although I believe you spray some cleaner on it first then there is a special setting on the oven: VERY hot, it locks up the door and when it is done everything is basically charred from the oven and you quickly can wipe clean. So, there is a bit of work but no scrubbing hard, crusty things for hours.
