what should I use to remove a curry stain from a carpet?

i'm about to try this so can't guarantee it - but worth a try. sprinkle with borax powder (if stain still "wet") or make a paste (careful not to have too wet to drag stain down into pile) of the borax and cover - leave to dry and vacuum. may take several attempts.
have also heard same principal using denture cleaning powder!!
